MG app not binding

Hello

New mg4 owner. I had the app working (mainly to check battery level) but for the past few days it isn't working and just says I need to bind the car. I do this time and time again but it doesn't make a difference. Any suggestions please

Thanks, have tried all of that but none of it resolved the issue. The car logs in but scanning the QR code doesn't log the phone in.
I was only using the app to check the battery level, I'll just get off the sofa and check old school style
 
If you've previously used the app with your car, then you absolutely do not need to bind again! Fact. So scanning any QR codes is pointless.

In some cases it is suggested to clear cache and data from the app, delete the app, reinstall the app, then login using the exact same details* you used when first* creating your account. Bear in mind that the car is bound to an account, not to a physical instance of the app on a device.

* If you used an email first, login using that; if a phone number then login using that.
 
Thabks for the reply. GIt did work for a few weeks but just stopped overnight.
I've cleared the cache, deleted and reinstalled the app and the phone still says unbounded and pretty much any action on the app requires a rebind.
I can't remember if I registered initially with email or phone but neither works now

One last thing to try. Does your password contain any special characters? If it does enter your phone number/email and then forgot password. Hopefully you'll be sent a link to reset it as the updated app only recognises letters and numbers.

If that doesn't work you will have to email MG customer services and ask them to reset the the account. They will probably ask for a copy of your proof of purchase and V5.
