I'm no expert, but I'd have thought that was something that could be repaired without too much trouble. And it's a fairly new car, it doesn't look nearly bad enough to be write-off territory. There are pictures of a couple of Tango Trophies with worse than that, that were repaired under insurance. If the airbags didn't deploy my guess is it will be fine.

Thank you for the comments.

You might be interested in the price of a splitter, one active flap unit and one grill that fits in the splitter. I hit a badger at night and this was the resulting damage.

I bought the above parts and fitted them myself rather than go through my insurance. My excess is £600 and the parts cost £542 including VAT. The active flap unit was an eye watering £295!

Hi, I've just had front bumper replaced, plus o/s headlight, all parts available, o/s wing, bonnet and bumper painted. Then they did a full ADAS alignment.
So they do get repaired

This was ours after my wife hit the wrong pedal. It took about a month to be fixed once the insurance approved it. I dread to think how much it cost.

We had similar experience. Needed new front end, radar, camera, both motorised grills, temp sensor and a few other internals. Took a while to get all the parts but final repair (insurance job) is like new - thanks to Blackshaws, MG dealers in Alnwick. Unfortunately it bumped the insurance up rather a lot ?

Ouch. Birds are surprisingly heavy and can do a lot of damage. I've had a few bounce off the nose of my Focus, no damage luckily. Makes you wonder how they take off so quickly!

Better let your dealer know you need that replaced long before taking it in for a service though, pretty slim chance that they'll have spares in stock. Dealers these days seem to react to circumstances rather than prepare for them in advance.

I've had this for a few months now. A dog or cat or bird ran / swooped out on a 40mph stretch.

Hoping it's not big bucks to swap the plastic trims when I have the next service soon.View attachment 26637
£490 ish repair shish! Does the manufacturer having a monopoly on parts break any Competition and Markets Authority rules?
