MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

That is where I was going with that (but without leaving myself open to an accusation of libel)!
If that was to happen , then he would be officially sanctioned for reading and responding to this forum, customers, clients, so you are probably safe. :cautious: .
Office motto, no underlings will have no undertakings with underlying problems with undertrays....

Does anybody know what the current MG4 position on the warped undertray is? I've just noticed mine has it now (it didn't at purchase) and it's getting serviced in a couple of weeks. I will add it to the list of issues (bluetooth, LKA, airbag warnings, etc, etc). I'm not expecting a same day service now...

Yup. You tell them about it. They act surprised, enquire of MG and inform you it's a feature, not a fault so they won't rectify it as there's nothing wrong with it. However, from my point of view I believe it's important for them to acknowledge the fact you've informed them, just in case. Ask for it to be recorded and to confirm in writing that they've recorded the fact.

I got mine replaced at 1st service, told them it was warped when it went in for a few faults to be rectified , they said MG uk wouldn’t acknowledge it but after a couple of repeated attempts and putting it on the list of faults for the service they told me it would be replaced under warranty. Once it arrived I took it in they started the job but after a couple of minutes came through to tell me the replacement was broken in half.? A month later after reordering they rebooked it in and replaced it.

I'm on my third undertray, still warped, almost given up/in.?‍♂️

No. Apparently it works as designed. Unfortunately the design is flawed, but technically this seems to be true. There is no desire to redesign it
Come on, this isn't believable, because the opening faces forward it's going to constantly accumulate muck and water and so on from the road surface when you drive, plus the drag when driving is going to eventually cause the bolts or material to fail and then you'll be driving around with the undertray hanging off.

I thought I read some sarcasm in his response....
Isn't it weird that they cannot produce a properly fitting part that is strong enough to not start bending after a while?
That there is fix available for more than 6 months in Downunder?
But there, they do not get fixes we do get (like star button fix)?
In UK R59 set of updates is still available but in EU it is supposed to have 'a bug'?

I'm just saying what MG say, I don't support it. This should be fixed.

As for different fixes in different countries, the local MG entities have nothing to do with each other it seems, so there's no crossover trade in fixes unless SAIC make a change.

But there is one common factor: SAIC.
What is the reason that a company decides to keep important improvements away from its customers?
