Owner feedback and Suggestions/Improvements

Induction sound is available for UK version, but the menus seemed different for the UK version. Yes they did tone down the graphics and swoosh sounds. All so serious.....takes away from the character of the car. Id like them to add some more sounds like an LFA V10 or something outrageous.

My brother uses the induction sound on his Taycan. Its good for gauging the speed of the car when not looking at the speedometer. Gives itva bit of character.

I have no sound at all on mine, except low speed car park hum.
do you know how to activate the induction sound - I have been told by the dealership it is not an option.

They probably haven't been trained on this car. They dont know much about it. It should be in the manual but based on the left hand drive it should be on the right screen in one of the menu tabs.

It's on the right of the three driver screens under the sound options, then you have to scroll down.

Went to see the Cyberster yesterday. Quality and paint finish is as good as it gets, very impressed.

One thing everyone is going to be moaning about though, that absolutely needs fixing are the large open holes under the bonnet directly above each wheel arch. I reached my hand in directly onto the top of the tyres! Any driving in poor weather on dirty roads is going to have a sea of mud and grit blasted up against the underside of the bonnet and splattered all around the under bonnet area! These holes need a couple of simple, clip in, moulded plastic covers adding to stop this.

Hopefully it will get complained about enough that MG/SAIC will fit covers, or the aftermarket will no doubt provide at some point. In the mean time, if it's not been actioned when I get mine, I'll be cutting some thin plastic sheet to size and fixing it with some heavy duty vinyl tape as a stop gap.

Sorry for registering, to jump straight into this thread.

But went to view a Cyberster yesterday, as price has just been announced in Ireland (€70,000 and €76,000 no delivery dates yet if anyone interested) - and have to ask.

From what I was shown, there's a lovely little slot for your phone to sit in beside cupholders - but no wireless charging and Android Auto seems to need to be wired up too. If you run a cable from box beside it, there's no groove for cable to go through or enough space in slot for cable to connect to phone.

Any owner able to confirm this? Seems incredibly cheap for a pricey enough car. My MG4 has wireless charging but does have to be wired up for Android Auto, but at least there the shelf has holes cut to allow cable thread through.

The slot is perfect for the phone. No running around of the phone. It sits tight and nit in there. The cable plugs into the USB in the middle compartment. There is a slight opening in the cover of the compartment where the cable runs. Well thought through. Unusual position for a phone but works very well. Of course no chance for wireless charging.
Android Auto works very well.
My Samsung S21 Ultra is borderline to fit in the slot, but still fine.

Yeah, I had my phone drop into it perfect alright. It just seemed pointless if it couldn't charge or connect. Myself and dealer couldn't find that little opening but didn't spend loads of time looking either.

Picked up my Trophy today... sounds like I won something...

No granny charger, but there were mats which I had already paid for.
It's so new that there's still a lot of details missing.. what is/isn't available, service plans etc..

Found a fault with the driver side sun visor, it doesn't stay in place and keeps popping out. Dealer contacted MG and they said to video the issue and they'll come back with a fix later. Not actually an issue as I sit quite high up, the sun visor wouldn't be all that useful. I'm only 5//9" / 175cm.. but long torso short legs and my head is nearly touching the roof. So taller people definitely need to test out the headroom.

Lots of config, beeps & volumes to adjust... this is going to take a while.
First question - how do i adjust the door mirrors?

And for PPF - thinking will just do the black plastic trims, those could get scratched up quickly.

But definitely happy with my new toy!

The little rubber spacers on the lid leave a gap for the cable to run through.

I'm finding the Amazon Music feature works really well. Presumably this uses MG's network bandwidth, so free?

From driving today, once in a while, I hear a loud, high-pitched warning sound but can't see anything on the dash to indicate what's causing it. It's not the chime sound when you're faster than the limit. Anyone have any ideas? Thought it was if there's a vehicle too close or veering away from the centre of the lane, but so far, nothing consistent...

Could be the "speed limit has changed" sound. That was turned on on my Cyberster. Go through the MG Pilot settings to see what's enabled.

I bought the Carlinkit 5.0 for Apple Carplay/Android Auto wireless adapter from Aliexpress for about 30 dollars US. It plugs into the USB type A socket where you would plug your phone for Apple/Android. The mobile connects by bluetooth for wireless function to the Carlinkit 5.0. Works great. I put the mobile in the storage area too and if I need charging I connect mobile Type C to Type C in the socket adjacent to the Apple carplay and Android Auto type A socket (which has the Carlinkit adapter plugged in). All works great.

I am not sure for what you need the carlink kit when android auto and apple car play is integrated in the system and working well. Any other feature I missed?

Goung from wired to wireless can be convenient for both my wife and I when we use the car interchangeably. It can be convenient to jump in the car and not need to plug the phone in. Navigation, music etc automatically pops up.

Admittedly not a "necessity but a nicety" ?

I understand for short distances but for longer the phone would discharge far too fast. Surlely convinient for short drives round town. Got it. Thanks
