Mine is a 2024 Trophy standard range. On MG website it says range 198 miles (279 miles in slow moving traffic-yeah, sure) and most info says that in winter that can typically degrade by 10-20%. I go to my office about once a week which is 62 miles away, so should comfortably get there and back only charging at home. How wrong I was! I drive like a granny and use ECO mode, pootling at 60 or less on motorways and dual carriageways and at least half the journey is in a 30 limit. Even in the height of Summer, when the charge was 100% and it was telling me I had 160 miles range I was having to stop to give a boost because I wouldn't make it home. The declared mileage at the start is always a lie; I would get more like 130 miles when the estimated was 160+, a number of times arriving home with <10 miles range. In Autumn, and now Winter I typically have to spend my lunchtime popping out to boost the charge by 20%+, which costs twice as much as 100% charge at home, and so with the home charge on top it costs more than when I used my diesel car (Honda Civic 1.6DTEC, 72mpg typically). The photo shows what the car is telling me - 123miles on 100% charge, yet I know I won't get 123miles, probably not much more than 100. And to re-iterate I don't accelerate hard, or dive fast; even lorries whizz past me on the dual carriageways and motorways it's like driving Miss Daisy. I really regret buying this car - anyone want a Jan 2024 ZS EV Trophy Connect for a good price?
