As I said on another forum where drivers of various brands are complaining of the same thing the weather has probably maxed out demand on the backend infrastructure that they are no doubt paying peanuts for. Unlike other brands iSmart is reliably unreliable in my 2+ years experience of it.
This does not reliably work for me (MY2022 Trophy). Currently the car will not even scan via app despite all the above. This is not uncommon but certainly the longest period of failure so far.
Went through everything this morning including sitting the damn car to start then locking again. Still wouldn't allow any remote actions. Ensure it's in P or Timeout messages despite it obviously being in P and the indicators flash when sending the commands. Total dog$hit.
This has been happening to mine on and off since I got my MG4 Trophy in 2022. Other errors present sometimes but the bottom line is I often can't preheat the car when needed. The car indicators flash so Comms to car ok but it somehow fails. Signing out/in, clearing cache and reinstalling app...
Correct. So must disable every time you start. The low/med/high sensitivity isn't persistent either so resets to med each time it enables itself i.e when the car is powered on.
As I said above tho, I haven't heard it once in the med setting despite trying to trigger it.
Just tested this and mine stays off until the car is powered off. This was across various speeds above and below 37 and putting it in park at the lights etc. Left it active on the way back and not a coffee cup in sight despite my attempts not to pay attention ?.
Oh I haven't noticed that. Just been town driving since the initial test. I'll try that out and report back. Fwiw it didn't chime or flash up at all on my test run when left enabled.
Praise be! The update has resolved the issue. The annoying thing is that the option to permanently silence but not disable is gone. I can only disable it but this re-enables on next start up, as before. It does seem a lot less sensitive than before however I will just have to kill it each...
That's right. It's not the DMS alert that is sounding but a warning that the module is faulty which cannot be silenced. The options for the module disappeared from the menu. It's as if it's the new firmware for the cars without the sensor but the system recognises an uninstalled component.
Dealer advised me there is a bulletin out today regarding driver monitoring system. Looks like I'll be the guinea pig again. Getting the door lock update also.
