    Auto Lighting

But you can change the screen brightness for both lights on and lights off. I've just changed it to a dark theme and so far it seems the best compromise

    Range on instrument display

I thought that the PHEV had an 8 gallon tank (37ltrs). If you're in EV mode then it runs the battery out before switching the engine on, unless you accelerate harder, in which case the engine will kick in. In HEV mode the battery works alongside the engine until it reaches 45-50 miles range...

Cover of the fuse box in the engine compartment

Why not try RTFM ing? Tailgate Emergency Open Tailgate emergency open switch is located in the inner side of tailgate lock. Lower the rear seat to make sure the emergency open lockhole plug on the tailgate trim panel can be touched. Take up the plug with hand, and rotate the emergency open knob...

Cover of the fuse box in the engine compartment

Don't know about fuse boxes, but the battery in our month old PHEV is in the boot.

    Thoughts on warning noises

I'm not denigrating the HS - we're very pleased with our PHEV. The speed recognition problems seem common in MGs - our MG5 used to be the same and our current MGS5 is a bit better, but not reliable. It may be better in towns, but we live rurally. I doubt that they're any better in other makes...

    Thoughts on warning noises

It seems that glass wearers can have the most problems - certainly it makes a huge difference in mine. It doesn't like my polarised sunglasses at all, but copes a bit better with my plain ones. Seems a total waste of time to me, so it's turned off every drive, along with the speed warning bongs...

    Thoughts on warning noises

Do you wear glasses for driving?

    "Please focus on driving".

That's interesting - my new HS PHEV doesn't have this facility. Maybe there'll be a software update.

Does mgtitan always take so long to send orders

An update re car mats from MGTitan. They requested a photo of the front of my car, so I sent front, back and close up of the badge on the back. Within a few hours they came back, saying that they'd refunded my money. So I wouldn't deal with them again, but give them credit for their prompt refund.

Does mgtitan always take so long to send orders

My order arrived today - 31 days after ordering and 28 days in transit. And they've sent the wrong car mats. Currently awaiting their response...

Does mgtitan always take so long to send orders

    Over revving at 70mph

Two week old HS PHEV. We tested it out in EV mode and drove it until the battery ran out. At the 10% point there was no engine activity at all. The engine didn't cut in until 81.2 miles, when the battery was zero percent. At no time did it rise near 4000 revs, so I would regard your car as...

Crayford & Abbs Ltd (Bodham) - MG Dealer Discussion, Opinions & Experiences

Just bought an HS PHEV from them. Simon Hawkins was extremely helpful and spent time making sure that we were happy with out choice. We continue to be very pleased with the company.
