Yes, I had a 12V 5W panel I used in one of our earlier caravans to keep the battery charged, sat it in the skylight and plugged the other end into a 12V outlet. Worker very well here in Perth :D
Leaving a car unused for three months without any charging is asking for trouble.
When I have gone away for a long trip when we had out caravan, I would connect a smart charger to my wife's car via a 24 hour time switch set to 15 minutes per day, no more flat battery when returning home.
I would imagine that one of the first functions that would happen when the service tech plugs in the OBDII device is that it would check the various revisions of the electronic devices and any important revisions would be automatically loaded. This should include the ECU and other safety devices...

I live for the day when they just install an Android head unit that allows the owner to load and use whatever apps you desire. These manufactured head unit systems that are so tied to MG etc are a complete PITA for users that want to change things.

Yep,same thing, a standard alone Android computer but my best thing was to junk their very basic launcher and install the AGAMA Launcher which completely changed the look and feel of how it works.
