    Portable CD player?

I really doubt that the head unit would have the ability to play an archaic device such as a CD. I think my last radio to play CDs was about 20 years ago so since then I have had my full collection on USB and with 50,000+ tracks played on random it just keeps rolling them out. I fail to see why...

    Rust

Always amazes me seeing ads for new cars being driven along the edge of the ocean with sea water being sprayed every where, imagine the rust

    Rust

Ah, the joys of living in Australia is that we generally do not have ice on the roads so no salt is needed and from my experience, I have not seen any rust in any of my cars for about 20-30 years.

What OBDII reader are you using??

I would have thought that most OBD-II devices would work but more importantly would be which app you are using and what information are you able to pull out of the car?

How can I troubleshoot 2021 ZS EV not charging?

I find that having the front passenger door open will set it charging within seconds of plugging it in. Once started I can close the door and even lock the car and it stays charging.

    cruise control question

I have never played with mine so this is probably why mine is so smooth. Did a 50km round trip on the Freeway from stop, start to 110kph and was smooth as all the way :)

    cruise control question

Same as PVH, I find no aggressive acceleration or breaking. It is very smooth even when starting from a forced stop. I have been a very keen user of cruise control for the past 20-30 years and this is by far the best of all of them.

    cruise control question

I love the adaptive cruise control, why would you want to take a step backwards?

MG ZS EV - 2024 - Map updates

Gee, I just wish that someone could convince MG Australia that they need to read and absorb this thread and realise that they need to do the same as UK & EU MG have done and provide their customers with the updated maps. I have tried to convince them that the new 10.1" head unit does not work...

    Decommissioning car before sale

I dont think you need to do anything. The new owner will need to try accessing iSmart and then wait 48 hours before trying it again.

MG ZS EV not binding to smart app

I believe you need to wait just in case the original own tries to log in. The way I have read it is to try and sign in and then wait 48 hours before trying again, the 48 hours is critical so maybe try again in 48 & a half hours. Personally, I find the app a was of time but that's just my opinion.

MG ZS EV - 2024 - Map updates

I think they would just ignore them as well. Twice now I have raised the issue with them and twice they have ignored the replies I have sent them, probably put me down as JUNK emails. Last time they replied to say that the maps in my 2023 car were the latest. The actual maps are from 2022 and...

MG ZS EV - 2024 - Map updates

I tried that but I can only assume that the AU/NZ maps are not included, only EU maps which is not my region. (n)

MG ZS EV - 2024 - Map updates

I have been trying for about 6 months to convince MG Australia that the 10.1" screen is not the same as the older one. They keep trying to tell me that I need to get the maps using NaviExtra Toolbox but do you think I can convince them that this does not work on the later model update model. I...

Vehicle to Load (V2L) - Any Information or First Hand Experiences?

I have used a 10W solar panel connected straight across the 2 battery terminals, at 10W it does not put out much current so does not need a regulator to control the voltage and works like a trickle charger. I first used this method on our caravan while it was in storage but also used it on my...
