Ideally don't use WD40 as it contains solvents that might not be good on the plastics. Silicone lubricant is a better choice.

So we bought our new MG ZS Trophy connect long range in Feb and have only charged at home on a Zappi.
We have a long journey to make soon so thought we would familiarise ourselves with DC charging before we actually need to. So I have an Electroverse card and a few apps installed and registered...
Bit of an update:
I disconnected the 12V battery negative for 5 mins today in case that would reset things.
Well when driving the 12V battery' is now being charged at 14 volts not 14.8V! No idea if this is significant or not.
Also it's still sitting at 12.8V after a few hrs sitting on the...
Thanks. Is the MG capable of charging AGM batteries to their correct voltage? I understood AGM need 0.5V more on both bulk and float charge to reach 100% charged?
We bought our new ZS in Feb 24 but it's build date is quite a long time ago - it has the sunroof!
We had the Road Angel dash cam fitted with permanent power - dealer fit using the piggy back fuse holders. It's set to shut off at 12.4V I think.
Anyway we have been having low 12V battery warnings...
If you are on home screen just press the temp and it goes straight to screen with heated seats icon on. I agree dedicated buttons would be better but it is a budget EV so money had to be saved in lots of places. If they where dedicated buttons you would need more wiring loom and physical...
I have found if you press the mute button on steering wheel it stops playing the radio, then switch off car. Then when you get back in the car and it's 'ready' press the mute button again to listen to the radio.
I believe that some have a 'tick' noise when driving as the plastic panel at the bottom of the windscreen rubs the windscreen making a clicking noise. I have read a few people have removed the panel and fitted some sort of comfort tape so the plastic doesn't touch the windscreen.
Might be worth...
I wasn't sure they are still available. Thanks for the info.
I think it's called Octopus Go and the off peak is 9p/kWh.
I believe the way Octopus intelligent go works is that either the charger or the car needs to be compatible with their telling it when to charge. I believe that the ID3 is a...
I believe Octopus Intelligent Go is the cheapest EV charging tariff on Octopus. AS you have an MG you need a charger that is compatible with Octopus Intelligent Go. I believe this lists the currently compatible chargers: Select your EV charger
Henley blocks are for qualified electricians only!
The 4kW export margin is set on the zappi menu from the front panel. Sorry can't remember the menu options to get to export margin but I'm sure you will be able to find it.
From my experience the zappi sees export as power it should use to charge the car but when the solar drops the inverter is actively sort of pushing against the grid so your house uses solar generation and battery but when solar drops quickly the inverter 'pushes' with battery power, the zappi...
