If you look at the manual, available here you will find the instructions. Basically you connect the Carlinkit unit then open your iPhone web browser and enter http://192.168.50.2 into the address bar. That will load up the Carlinkit unit settings page.

Yours are 17" rims. The OP's are the 18" rims fitted to newer models with the rear washer wiper.

Smashing thank you. I have a Carlinkit 4.0 and it works fairly reliably (start up delay set to 30secs) but on occasion it throws a wobbly and I know my wife would not want the faff so whenever she takes the car she reverts to wired. I might give this a whirl ?

You only need the front for an LR as the rear badge is within the plastic light bar and can’t be accessed.

They'll come off with gentle persuasion and very unlikely to damage the original badge underneath.

Different connection for CarPlay wireless so to avoid confusion it’s easier if you forget the wired connection but not essential.

I have a Carlinkit 4 and it works flawlessly. I don't have my iPhone paired to the car via BT, no need to when CarPlay is wireless.

I'd like to upgrade the reversing lights which I find very poor. Can someone clarify which of the two Amazon linked bulbs in the first post are for the reversing lights? Ta!

Yup it’s stupid. Should be able to run it for at least 30 mins if plugged in. And why do the lights have to come on when preheating. Mickey Mouse software.

Thank you, disconnected the battery for 30mins and radio restored when reconnected. There were a worrying amount of error messages on display and seemingly every driver aid was U/S but they all came back after a 20min drive. Love the car but the software is dog shit!

I've just had this issue crop up on a long drive. No Dab or FM. Does disconnecting 12v cause any issues with account linking etc or is that not affected?

But if you always plug in why bother with MagSafe at all? It’s not going to fly off when it’s attached by a cable?
