V2G to be approved in Australia 2025

Most of Vic are Smart Meters as well, I prefer flat rate then TOU myself. I looked at sums with the 3 free vs EV plan now rates lower. 3 free works for me normally one of the three EV's home. Over last 12 months done 3559 kWh in free time and 5779 kWh outside. Why I like to look at V2G as well...

Since my last post the DC charger is 40% cheaper in OZ Thinking put 24kWh in now and leave room if it drops again.

    MG4 in Australia

If you look on this forum UK cars have had lots of updates. In OZ nothing At least my AEB was fixed last service with an update. It was dangerous. I do not expect anymore updates The new MG4 urban or what ever not here although the S5 software is a lot newer. Our other EV’s are Teslas they...

I think the fix for the software updates is just never to have anymore in Australia. Pretty sure they moved on to newer cars now and we never see anything again.

    MG4 in Australia

I just had my 2 year service.. I asked for software update for AEB as I knew it is old (Does not save low setting) and hard braked a few times. They did the underbody tray and service said no time for software have to book another day. Also said the AEB module only one out of date. Where I knew...

V2G to be approved in Australia 2025

I looking at either a 24kWh, 32kwWh or 40kWh battery. Difference between 24-40kWh is around AU$4800. Which does not sound much compare to a DC Charger around $6-$7k. I currently have 3 hours free I charge and 3 EV's with 180kWh; I'd like to tap into that if it's worth it. I just crunched...

V2G to be approved in Australia 2025

Just got a couple of quotes in around AU$2400 for 8kW. So yes $7k is 24kWh of dedicated battery. Yes I'd love to use 180kWh of EV although honestly my peak prob 30kWh a day, take out the charging I do in free 3 hours..

V2G to be approved in Australia 2025

Depends on price of the V2G device. Here in OZ we have heaps of Solar during the day and spot electricity prices are negative often. I get 3 hours free 11am-2pm when I charge, although pay 4 cents extra per kWh for the other 21 hours. Lots of people getting batteries now; a few cheap batteries...

Silly you think it be the MG2, although it called MG4 in China. The one we have in OZ (UK, Europe) does not sell well in China they replaced it. I think all cars in China need to have the same blob shape, be front wheel drive and have a big screen to sell :)

    MG4 in Australia

I have the 64kWh NMC for MG4 and two LFP Teslas. The Tesla BMS is not great unless you go to 100%. Even scan tools it show battery is 1-2kWh less then it is if you do not charge to 100% often.. Or do a big run and a full charge. Whereas my mate's NMC is solid no matter what charge. So if you...
