Just to close this one down. Managed to get a diagnostic appointment today after nearly 2 week wait. They checked both the radar and front camera, both OK, then found an overheating/stuck relay which they fortunately had in stock so it was replaced under the warranty and all seems well now.

Have a look at the thread titled "In Praise of the ZS". I have had my ZS EV Trophy long range since last June, purchased new at rather more than you are paying no doubt. On the whole its been an excellent car.
