Just getting back to you all! That was seemingly perfect solution. FM radio and USB stick didn't work, but I disconnected and reconnected the battery, the radio came on straight away, and after a little drive to clear all the error lights we're back to normal. So, what I need to remember to do...

I only ever use the right hand button to control the volume. Keep forgetting there's a button below the screen as well.

Ah now, thanks. I'd rather these two quick fixes rather than the nuclear option of getting the bonnet up. I'll give them a go...
