Indeed. After I had the LKA update done (in early 2023!), it was fine. Really fine. Whereas it was utter cr*p before. I can't understand why not all cars are delivered with this update.

Will you replace your MG4 with another EV? Have you decided yet which one?

It was in April last year, late in the evening. Can't remember exactly, but my guess would be between 5 and 10°C. Luxury/Trophy model, too.

Mine behaved similarly regarding the colour of the battery gauge and when the yellow turtle came on. But I could still do around 60 mph / 100 km/h. Power was limited to 25% though.

Same here. I always got the "smart key not detected" message but was able to drive anyway.

I had the same issues with my Trophy model with heat pump. Sometimes the heater just would not work, especially after charging. The dealership was aware of the issue and applied the heater update HE-32. But I have sold the car briefly afterwards and can't say if the problem was really solved...

The SE doesn't have a heat pump. So generating heat is VERY inefficient. The entire cabin has to be warmed up and this will consume a lot of energy since the cold air in the car will continually cool down the heater element. It's like in the pub. You will consume more beer in the first hour...

According to the German MG4 Facebook group R33 has been released for the Standard model bringing back the ambient temperature display.

The most staggering bit for me is that the "°C"-display is still there - just to be left blank.

When I went to my dealer with specific issues they always applied all the updates that were available at the time. Again, it seems to depend on the dealership and his diligence.

On almost any EV I've driven so far I got better range with lower regen. Unless you are driving on the motorway only you should be more efficient using your momentum for range and not for regen. Lift early, let it sail (as traffic permits). On my way to work I have perfected the exact spot where...

There is an update available for the LKA that has to be applied by your dealer. It's not perfect then, but it's really fine. Unfortunately, you can't find out yourself, if it has been applied. It does not correspond to your Infotainment version, which can be checked easily.
