    It does, but only when in Ready mode, i.e., ready to drive or actually being driven. Those of us affected by the "dead 12V battery" problem are finding it is happening when the car has not been in Ready mode for a period of time, often quite short.

    Yes, in my experience you won't be charged! Although the amounts may be listed as "pending" for some days they will, eventually, disappear.

    I think it is rather more that your bank will remove the pre-authorisation amounts when they realise that the owner(s) of the rapid charger(s) are not proceeding with the debit. That has certainly been my experience anyway!

    In my early days of having a Rolec charger installed (actually before I got my first EV) several times the charger cut out, not because of an under-voltage but rather the reverse, an over-voltage (as high as 258 if I remember correctly). That level caused the PEN Protection to operate...

    @dx4100 Thanks again, and understood, again! Unfortunately, although my wife has an ICE car there's no room to park it in front of mine without also blocking access for my neighbours; we have a shared main drive, with my section of it just long enough to park the S5 in front of my garage door...

    Agreed and understood! Have to make about a 80 - 90 mile journey later today so will have plenty of opportunity to fully recharge the 12V battery. And the booster pack worked brilliantly! Now about to phone my local MG garage!

    Unfortunately, not so for me! I didn't use the car yesterday, but checked several times during the day that it was still accessible (i.e., could be unlocked and started), no problem. Checked this morning, dead again! Thankfully, as previously reported, I now have the booster pack accessible...

    Not seen the freeze problem so far, but I do use Android Auto, not Car Play. As for the reboot, have you tried pressing and holding (for about 10 seconds) the Home button (on the fascia, not the screen)?

    I have this one. Never yet needed to use it but, as noted in post #24 in this thread, it is now stored in the front of the cabin and so ready to use! I can't remember how much I paid for it but it was certainly less than the price listed on that Amazon page! EDITED: to correct the link!

    The "dead car" scenario has happened to me this morning! I suspect it is a 12v battery problem since car would not unlock. Mechanical key allowed access but no response to sitting on the driver's seat, so AA called and on their way. I now very much realise the reason for advice I've read here...

    Re: MGS5 and (some) access to its API. Somewhat to my surprise I recently discovered that the ev.energy app which controls my Rolec Charger actually receives at least basic data also from my S5, even when the car is not plugged into the charger. I've just checked the app again and it reports...
