MGS5 EV temperature display- external temperature

@Alb @Rolfe Since the OP is asking about the MGS5 should this thread be moved to the correct area?

Richard Hardie Sunderland - MG Dealer Discussion, Opinions & Experiences

@redhez MG Service Schedules can be found here. Also, I very much doubt whether anyone from Richard Hardie Sunderland reads these forums so you are unlikely to receive a direct answer in these forums from any staff there.

    Preheat cabin

I tried something similar to this for the first time (new car) yesterday and the heating, rear screen heater and heated steering wheel all came on. The day before, heating and heated seats (the only selections made) had failed to activate! BUT, on this second occasion, having made my first...

    Sudden Increased Range

I don't think you need to worry! I've seen a similar (though not so large) increase in my 22 plate MG5 PFL. The apparent anomaly didn't last long! If you want to be "sure", after your next charge to 100%, reset the GOM (sorry, can't help with how to do that on the Facelift version) and then...

    Temperature from heater fluctuates

I agree! It seems that the thermostat is set to "exact sensitivity" (if such a term exists!) i.e., the point at which it turns off the heater is immediate once the set temperature is reached. In this specific situation I don't think what is being experienced is either strange, intermittent...

    Tomato Energy

Ditto here, though only today and so 4 days late! Indeed! The email also says they will ask me for a meter reading "on switching day". Not sure how I can produce one that accounts for the four days since the switchover. However, TE emailed me on the 18th asking for a meter reading, so...

Radio won’t play when connected to CarPlay

Just a thought for you (and this may be totally wrong in your car!): In my S5 I have AA set to connect to my phone automatically so it starts up with the car (assuming I have remembered to take my phone with me) but the radio is silent (it wasn't on my previous 5 PFL). I discovered it was...

    MGS5 Emergency Key

With my key fob there is no need to remove the back cover! The first image shows my fob. Having pressed the silver button the top (silver, where the fob can be attached to a key ring) will separate, as shown. The second image shows my Emergency Key partly slotted into the space for it inside...

Cant Contact the car with app when it is frozen.

    No problem for me, either.

    MGS5 Emergency Key

But it is (storable inside the fob)! In fact, for me, it was in the fob from the day I collected the car. As suggested in an earlier post to this thread, if you press the silver button on the rear of the fob, the top (thin end) opens and there is space to store the blade within the fob there...

    Archev's adventures in the Berlingo

I would certainly go back in and have words with them. I don't habitually swear but ....

Switched my MG5 for an MGS5

@Alb @Ian Key thanks to both of you. I think my "concern" was that no two of the tyres were showing the same pressures, or even "nearly" the same. Have checked and re- or de-inflated all of them this morning so now all are showing as 37psi and it's very cold here, about 4 or 5 Celsius.

Stoneacre Derby - MG Dealer Discussion, Opinions & Experiences

Just purchased a pre-registered S5 Trophy LR from Stoneacre Derby, cost £23,700, 55 miles on the clock. A very straightforward process, all completed in one visit (because I live nearly 60 miles from the dealer). Excellent assistance from Dan. So far, everything has been great and so, as of...

Switched my MG5 for an MGS5

Another user "updating" from MG5 PFL to MGS5 Trophy LR, only purchased today (from Stoneacre Derby) so a 50+ miles journey home, added to the 60-ish miles already on the pre-registered car. So far, very impressed (I did have an earlier test drive in one from Evans Halshaw, Grantham, but they...

    Tomato Energy

And now the "fun" begins! I followed the standard advice to NOT do anything about switching supplier (in hindsight, foolishly); I waited for the official confirmation, from British Gas, that I was now one of their customers. On receipt of this I tried to initiate a switch back to my previous...
