I agree with your initial post. Worst car I've ever had for it. It has been reported on here previously and just seems to be a characteristic of the car, unfortunately. Just have to use the aircon and heater fan a lot I'm afraid.
The mechanical is correct, they all do it. Slight battery degradation drops from the 32 miles initially and shows 31 miles. Mine did it at 6 months old and is now approaching 4 years old at 40K miles and still shows 31 miles when fully charged.
The high cost is what I was quoted for year 3 service. However, at 27000 miles your car will qualify for the 'low mileage' service schedule. Basically, this puts off the big service until year 4. Have a look at the low mileage service schedule at https://www.mg.co.uk/servicing.
I'm not sure that it is DCT on the phev. I think it's 4 speed on the electric motor and 6 speed on the ICE. I believe, but not certain, that the ICE transmission is conventional torque converter auto.
I've a feeling I read that SF is 'signal following' and it's to do with following a radio channel when moving between transmitters. I may be wrong, but I'm sure that's what someone on this forum said many months ago.
The dashed line is when gears are being changed and the car is limiting the...
Hi everyone
Has anybody had any luck getting Faringdon Red touchup paint? No MG dealer seems to have any and one dealer told me MG had stopped supplying touchup paint full stop (thanks again MG for great customer support).
I have tried the Ebay/Amazon route where companies say they can match...
The long standing MG dealer I bought my HS PHEV from has recently stopped selling MG at all. I tried to find out why and the person I was talking to stated that the dealers are being screwed on price from MG and there's no money in it any more. I've no idea if this is true but they have been MG...
I have Octopus Go and use a PodPoint charger with no issues. The car does not have scheduling, as you know, and so it's fairly 'dumb' in that respect with all scheduling done via the charger.
Sorry if you know this already, but I notice you only joined yesterday and wondered if the car was new...
Car 3 years old and 31000 miles on the clock. Range went down from 32 to 31 after about 9 or 10 months and has stayed at 31 ever since.
As has been said above, you can get more than that in normal temperature conditions. I live 18 miles from Chelmsford and can often get there and back on...
You sometimes have to keep your foot on the brake for quite some time during the startup process. I've just got into the habit of holding the brake pedal down until the system ready prompt appears. Since I did that, I've never seen the shut off message appear.
As the original poster says, the MG system warms you up and then decides to freeze you for a while until the cabin temperature reaches the level to start heating again. Basically the system has too wide a range between the two 'cut off' points (too hot and too cold). Probably because it's a...
It's not just MG I'm afraid. A friend of mine had his Skoda Karoq tailgate written off while his garage was test driving his car! He waited 3 months for a replacement and it was only coming from the Czech Republic. That was a while back but well after COVID. In fact at the same time they...
My reversing camera packed up at about 9 months. The image first went blurred and then bright pink! It was replaced under warranty. I had a couple of weeks wait for the part - who knows what the current situation is.
Looking at your photo of the overhead view, it looks like the images from the...
