I've just had a quote from my local Glynn Hopkins for:
A - 1st service £182.40
B - Carry out brake service and retorqued wheel nuts £69.99
Anyone else seen the brake service part on theirs? Needless to say I'm going elsewhere.
It looks good in pictures and should be technically be easy to install but I'd never trust the seller and you have no idea of the quality of it. I'm looking at the Auto-Vox V5PRO instead, similar OEM look and can also double as a reversing camera for my SE
That's not always true. Plenry of people get cars through schemes like Motability and don't have/want a smartphone. Let alone one that's gonna be compatible
The car was in park and the hand brake was on. Bonnet was fully open but I doubt the car could tell. Maybe I locked the car first before I unlocked it. I really don't know exactly as I was expecting to exit via the boot.
Correct. I've only tried it the once so it could be a massive coincidence but it makes sense considering the sensors in the drivers seat. The fact that I also drive 3 miles in London without any problems with the error is also a step forward.
I thinks it was leaving the drivers seat that did it more than the bonnet as he hadn't lifted the bonnet when the key worked. I just unlocked the car and opened the door.
I've had this problem with my MG4 and even drove 3 miles to my dealer with the usual invalid key and pulled up while being locked in the car. It drove fine the whole way. Stopping, starting, accelerating. Everything was fine.
Their tech had me pop the bonnet and try unlocking the car while out...
