That's because your ZS EV is pre the latest NCAP regulations and therefore doesn't have the latest safety features. It's debatable whether these safety features are necessary but for the manufacturers to get a 5 star safety rating they have to have them.

You're not comparing like with like. The GOM shows you the loss of range if you drove the car down to 0%. The mpg shows how much fuel you are using at that moment.
You need to compare mpg with m/kWh or the GOM with the range left in the ICE's fuel tank.

I agree about MG customer service. Unfortunately MG isn't the only one that suffers with substandard software but their way of dealing with it is dire. And I can understand why dealers become uninterested if MG treats them the way it treats the owners.
Correct. I bought my car from one dealer but got a service plan from another. Check if it's a basic service plan or if it includes any extras.
Mine was a little more than some but does include either fetching and returning the car or a courtesy car while it's being serviced, free puncture...
