I am happy with regen 3 BUT on motorways / long journeys I set to A. However, the system seems to reset back to 3 when I get back in the car after, say, a recharge. Strange that ?
That's interesting. I find that, in poor weather (of which we have had a great deal recently), I have to actively turn ON the headlights because the auto headlights are not as sensitive as I would like !
Another long trip to Spain completed in the MG4. Daily we did 400-500km. The MG4 was faultless but I wanted to focus upon ABRP via Apple CarPlay and it’s link with OBD data (I use the OBDLink CX). There are a few things that ABRP could and should improve :-
The charging stations which appear...
I agree, that is definitely not acceptable. Looks like it's better to stay with an OBD Dongle and turn OFF when you leave the car. That way, it is off completely!
Hello Gilles (also in France I see :-) ). I think I'll wait until we've returned from Spain before trying this out! At least I know that my OBD Link CX dongle works (despite MG stating altho it was surely the reason for all the software problems that I had experienced !)
OK sounds interesting. Currently I have to turn on and off the OBD dongle (to avoid a security alert when I leave and lock the car). I am happy to try Enode but how do I do this? What steps to follow please?
I have not heard of "Enode" and yet am a paid up subscriber of ABRP and I have the OBDLink CX dongle which works very well. I'm not sure I understand the difference save the fact that to saves buying an OBD dongle. But if you already have one (with and on/off switch) then does "Enode" feed any...
Thanks for these thoughts and experiences. ABRP have replied to me and stated that ABRP does not send any data BACK to the OBDLink CX and hence the car. This is, of course, logical. No, for the next 10 days, before our next long journey to Spain, where I shall definitely use ABRP (but not...
Thanks for this; so they've supposedly checked all this so I guess, only time will tell .. Thanks
Thanks for this. I am rapidly concluding that I should be cautious about using the OBD dongle ie only when necessary. Unfortunately I have always loved tech and, even since the 1990s when GPS was...
Many thanks for your thoughts (some of which are rather on the periphery of my topic, but thanks anyway).
No I simply want to hear from ANYONE who is actually using an OBDLink CX, linked to ABRP for their longer journeys and, if so, if you have encountered any issues / warnings etc as I have...
I haven't followed the advice because I've just returned from the dealer. The thing is I like using the OBD Link CX because it feeds to A Better Route Planner and allows ABRD to monitor my actual consumption (and hence charging stops) as opposed to ignoring the actual data as say, Google Maps...
So, we experienced a series of alerts, one after the other as we were driving to Spain for Xmas; this ceased after I stopped; locked the car and re-booted. The problem occurred again in pitch black with multiple alerts.
I took the car to the MG dealer today. They said that they had NEVER, EVER...
