Is it still worth exporting your home battery?

Can you go on agile for export only remaining on intelligent for import?

Have you noticed fuel prices going up

We definitely should....... Just remember all the ridicule from the petrol heads - milk floats, hanging around for hours waiting for it to charge, batteries dead after 5 years, cant use heating in winter... HA Yes we can smirk

Is it still worth exporting your home battery?

It would make more sense to me, theyre charging more for electricity at those times therefore they can afford to pay more.

Is it still worth exporting your home battery?

I used the figures that EVE supplied and keyed them straight into my active balancer. The active balancer shows SOH 100% and this is it's 5th year of operation.

Is it still worth exporting your home battery?

Youre probably right, it's just a gut feeling, all of this tech, looking after itself with Home Assistant getting the weather forecast, watching the outdoor temperatures and even the average daily consumption map 7 days per week and then deciding how much to dump into the grid and at what rate...

Is it still worth exporting your home battery?

I had my system setup nicely for exporting surplus energy during the evening all automatically done, no intervention required by me. Looking at the amount earned and the potential degredation of batteries, I switched the system off and no longer export during the evenings. I no longer...

FWIW I have two inverters in my installation, a Growatt SPH6000 coupled to solar and battery and a Victron Multiplex II connected to a battery. Two approaches to solar install. Thoughts appreciated!

It's really not the right approach to consider full charge from empty, you really need to consider replenishing the charge you use on a daily basis. It's the way of...

Two approaches to solar install. Thoughts appreciated!

Just make sure that the Zappi is fed before the CT's for the solar / battery, and you will be able to do anything you wish with regards to charging.

Ah yes, I'd forgotten you were an early adopter of solar and benefitted from FIT payment. Well done that man.

Two approaches to solar install. Thoughts appreciated!

Agreed and that’s where wallboxes such as Zappi come into their own. Flexibility on when and how charging takes place easily configurable.
