The only concern was the 48v output voltage which equates to a 9% state of charge. I did however have a look at the spec sheet and the range of the adjust is from 43v to 55v which is ideal. Connect the output to your battery DC connections, run your load down to 80% or thereabouts and then...
All the ones I have tried (Growatt, Seplos) the terminals are simply paralleled, the comms is only for the internal BMS's in each battery. The other option as I stated is to simply connect onto the DC battery input to the inverter and feed in there.
Example of internal battery connections...
Thats NOT a good idea, you're dealing with relatively high voltage DC which has it's own problems. You would also be removing any contribution the solar was making to the system.
The do it LOL
This is so simple, he probably hasnt really thought it through or he doesnt have knowledge of how the systems work. He's clearly trustworthy in so much he's advising against it rather than having a go so credit to him for that.
Most batteries have 2 sets of DC terminals to allow...
I believe with FIT you get paid the contract amount for generation, the fact that you use it yourself is of no consequence, you still get paid the 23p/kWh.
You need to complicate it so much. Assuming Lifep04 cells 70% SOC = 3.3v per cell. Pylontech usually use 15 cells in series (15S) so the total voltage would be 15x3.3=49.5v. If you adjust a power supply to this voltage when your house battery gets below 49.5v load will start to be taken from the...
Use a 230v adapter plugged into the MG5 and enable discharge. Plug a LifeP04 3 kw battery charger into the MG and connect the output of the charger to my 28 kWh house battery. The net result is a 3kW continuous discharge from the car and it being fed into the house via the Victron inverters...
Were around 40 kWh per day including the heatpumps and 2 x EV. I'm happy with the battery and off peak rate etc it makes it more comfortable :) Its the ovens and hob that really hammer it on Christmas day along with heating 24 hours etc.
It doesnt work correctly with Intelligent Octopus GO and apparently only refunds your average use. My average use is zero so it wouldnt really help. I'm very happy with my £5.18p spend for heating, hot water and cooking, seems a bargain to me.
Every year we consume a large amount of energy on Christmas day, 2 ovens, the hob, heatpumps running etc, this year was no exception and as I've done before, I connected our MG5 up to charge our home battery.
Total consumption for the day was just over 74kWh. This was satisfied with 31 kWh from...
I've just found out my 84 year old neighbour is alone today following the loss of his wife earlier this year. I've just been round to borrow his spare chairs :( :( :(
Thank you, I hope you too have better times ahead.
Yep, that's what's occurring here.
No matter what your situation is there's always someone worse off..... you my friend are much worse off than me by the sounds of it, it sounds awful. I hope you can get some respite from your pain over the...
I've always believed in this, I don't have any decisions to make, I can't change anything so why stress over it? It's a bit like a roller coaster, once it's setoff you have no control, no decisions, you're just along for the ride, just like me here :)
