Has anyone else noticed that the speed limiter function no longer needs to be re-selected from the screen every time the car is restarted? (or indeed, was our car the only one this happened on previously?) Historically, the speed limiter has been a proper PITA to use because it had to be reset...
I doubt MG in France or their dealer network will care much about what VOSA says or thinks ;) What annoys me the most is that it's now 10x worse than before they 'fixed' it with a new column.
The Aussies have hacked the Mk1 ZS to improve regen, bring true one pedal driving and fix the cruise control to use regen rather than the mechanical brakes - all things that in their natural state annoy me about the ZS.
Now all I need is to find out if this can be done with the Mk2 as well ?
Perfectly normal and acceptable.
If your car had stopped charging at 80% the charge point would be showing that it was no longer charging and whilst some do lock the cable at the CP end, some do not and it's absolutely normal for someone to unplug a car that is not charging to use the charge...
We had that once - tuens out I had the door open looking out of it to reverse (I hate the 360 camera). It just puts the brake on immediatly if you try that. It will drive perfectly well (all be it with an annoying bong every few seconds) with no seatbelt on.
What I dislike about our ZS:
MG Dealers,
MG France,
MG Europe and
the fact that after waiting 6 months for the steering to be 'repaired' (new column), it's now 5 times worse than it was before and MG have washed their hands of it saying 'it's supposed to be like that' (with the steering...
Try swapping between email address and phone number when trying to bind. Took us a few goes and one didn't work, but one did (but can't remember which way around it was).
We have the 72kWh battery and don't get 480 km out of it, the best is around 440-450 km even in the summer. Perhaps the batteries are super-efficient in the Indian climate? But more likely an inaccurate guess from Autocar.
EV Database lists the smaller battery car's range as 270 km (WLTP 320...
Probably due to the new law/regulations that came into force this summer that require all new chargers to be 'smart' and implement randomised delays when starting charging and be able to be remotely stopped when the grid is near peak capacity etc. (many existing chargers will support this and if...
