No idea re preheating as I never use it.
You need to link your Octopus app to the Ohme as a device. Don't use you Gmail to log into Ohme as octopus needs a password.
You then schedule charging on the Ohme app using dynamic charging. You set the percentage charge and when you need the car.
I enjoy sometimes the small things. I did notice at 15:01 Octopus started charging the car to steal my export so I paused it.
I did put the batteries on charge from grid but they were full so I exported.
I see it as a game.
