No I do not. Hovering over the brakes but not on the pedal. Also, it's just in reverse not going forward.

I've started to get a really annoying screeching noise when reversing. I do not think it's brakes because when I apply the brakes it stops. There is no problem in how the car moves though. Any ideas?

Unless I wave at a fellow tango my wife gives me a weird look

I also had a vRS and the lag on the dsg was certainly an issue for me personally. Pretty sure all vRS were made in the same place

I found the original tyres a bit slippy too and changed to Michelin cross climate 2s and they've not put a foot wrong yet.

I just look at as with any previous car I've had when I start the engine, I depress the brake. It's the same principle. It's a safety thing and for me at least, my usual behaviour.
