After taking the vehicle to a different dealership they've confirmed that the previous dealership failed to complete the following software updates bar one:
GW
BCM - ALREADY DONE
EVCC
CCU
BMS
IMCU.
As far as the dealership is concerned the previous updates should deal with the...
Still nothing regarding the MG4 SE issues from either Santander UK, MG Motor UK or the local dealer. We've voiced our concern with the local dealer 2 weeks back.
We've also now had OHMe officially blaming the vehicle for the "SuspendEV" issue that's randomly stopping the car charging on...
I wanted to reply to this post as it does make a valid point. My comment/thread title that the 'MG4 is not a good car' was a throwaway comment and not specific enough.
Specifically, MY MG4 is not a good car, in so far as the amount of issues I've encountered in a relatively short space of time...
Indeed. At no point did it come across my mind that I wanted to spoil anyone's fun and troll here.
It'll be really interesting to see what happens from this point on from both Santander and MG Motor Ltd and I'm happy to keep you all updated on this thread if you're happy for me to, Mod.
Why assume I'm a troll? Surely you're sensible enough to see that desperate car owners often use internet forums as a way to vent their frustrations.
I've also complained to both leasing company and MG directly (rather than the dealer).
We've got two MG4s, one SE SR 2023 and one Trophy SR 2023. Both have had faults within the first year of purchase but the SE is the clear winner. In 13 months, we've had 4 warranty repairs (5 between the two). I've driven many a car since 1999 but this one takes the "trophy'.
