Mine used to often not connect and it seemed if I unlocked and locked the car it then connected However there was an update and since then it connects every time and I get the message ISmart running in the background when I leave the IDmart app.

Checked my ZS EV LR and I can't find a dead reckoning button. I get the Brussels map on the app so I guess the option to turn off DR is only on the earlier MGs

Yes. It works ok for a couple of days although sometimes it takes a few tries but after that I get the message "unable to get the vehicle gps" and I'm unable to get the vehicle status although sometimes "find my car" works. If I unlock the car it then works as normal.
