Thanks for that Aitch, had drawn a blank here. Ali-Express are OK, missing the middleman, all very cheap but things always take an age to get here from China. Looks like this one is the only way to go right now.
Thanks all good stuff guys. Slightly off topic but just asked AI about how the engine charges the 12v battery, here's what I got:-
The MG3 Hybrid+ uses a combination of its petrol engine and an integrated generator to charge the 12V battery. Here's how it works:
Engine Operation: When the...
Interesting video there which makes a lot of sense. It was noted there was mention of where the cold hybrid engine can cut in when travelling at speed and has to immediately run at high revs. I get just that when I hit our nearby motorway, when I have typically seen 4.1K as just 60mph from cold...
Yes agree I found you can adjust the alert sound levels in the sat nav section. It was speed camera alerts which got to me, initially produced a deafening noise at any speed on the motorway where you can't fiddle with a screen or know what it might be!
No problems here, have had mine since June - regularly indicates 14.5v. Makes you wonder how accurate the reading is on the dash? Well protected in the boot but shame about any spare wheel.
I totally agree with all the above. We all knew the consumption would go up in the cold but I find the consumption worse on this MG3HEV than the previous two MG3s I had - on motorways especially. I once got 54mpg at 60mph on the old MG3, on motorways this one appears to be around the 48mpg mark...
With this cold damp weather I have settled on Auto set at 22°C which seems to work very well and keeps the windows free of condensation. Our 'hybrid' problem is there is no possibility of heat until the engine warms up, so to get it going, with the 'Auto' on, as soon as one switches on the...
Yes the colder weather now is dropping the consumption into the 45 - 50mpg rang for me. About the same as the original MG3s - so not that clever really with high maintenance to-boot!
I notice on pressing the Start Button for a cold start and before moving off, the engine will start up as soon as...
Have had mine over 5 months now and dead easy to drive but still getting to grips with the handling, admittedly still with a low mileage - no reliability issues all good so far.
Nice to get back in the old MGF and chuck that about though - easy to do your own service too.
(Still smarting from...
The K4 would certainly not fit my '3' as it does not have the hole in the arm for that little pip sticking up. The K9 is still looking good here.
There is a procedure shown to get the arms parked vertically for changing/cleaning blades. Have not been there yet.
I tried Revolution Tools on ebay but they could be of no help as to which adaptor would work.
I looked in the Owners Manual (P318) showing how to replace the blades - they show a completely different method of connection to those on my '3'. How about yours?
I looked at 'Italy's' video above...
