That would be unfair on the large number of ev owners who can't share the API but are using the system fairly.. if they have the ability to monitor and prevent unfair usage then more piwer to their elbow i say.. its always the few bad apples which spoil the barrel.

They don't need a ct clamp on the feed.. the evse itself monitors how much charge its providing!

I don't think so but its octopus who controls the charge in any case, based on the car model it was registered with.. interestingly, octopus groups car makes into categories which allow different levels of interaction, Ford and Tesla being the best one, others are more limited.

Suggest you delete your device (car) from the octopus app, there is an option to do this on device, settings. Then plug in your car at home and re enter your car and charger details.

You just plug in and enter on the Octopus app how much charge you want to add (%of your battery) and when you want it by. Octopus does the rest, on the cheap rate. If you want to charge immediately regardless then press the Bump Charge button.

Yes, its Charge to add.. funnily enough Octopus had just asked me to delete my device (car) as it said it had lost control, plug in and add device again, which ive done.
