Hi. My daughter has Mercedes A class, and I’ve been reading how their “Keyless Go”system works.
The fob stops transmitting when it is stationary, this has two advantages, the battery last a lot longer, and it also stops car thieves stealing the unlock code.
Perhaps ours also do this, it would...
Have a look at
.
This is another video by Jerry Pan, who publishes excellent YouTube videos relating to MG cars.
This one relates to the MG4. However, it’s identical to the system in the ZS Hybrid +
Once again in full agreement, especially as I can’t see a solution which does not impose a constant current draw.
The ZS hybrid benefits from utilising the most efficient keyless operation, and if the button cells do last 3-5 years, I concede whoever designed it is very clever.
The CR2032 coin...
Agreed, but as the keys only have a button cell, you’d think the constant current draw would have an effect. Perhaps the fact that you don’t need to use a key to unlock and lock this car, makes the difference.
Not sure why, but mine is now working perfectly.
Key at about 1metre and it unlocks.
I’m pondering on how this works.
(1) The key (continually day and night) sends a signal every few second seconds, and the car listens for it, and unlocks the tailgate. But surely this will run the key battery...
Hi Jockster.
Rouge traders no longer exists, and Watchdog has ceased to be broadcast as a standalone series, it is now aired instead, as a feature in The One Show, and it’s presented by Matt Allwright and Nikki Fox.
As a result, something like this would be difficult to set up, and there are...
Regarding “But probably the vast majority of stuff on forums is not much of an issue for the average driver.”
Admittedly the ZS Hybrid + is great value, but losing power when trying to overtake, is more than an inconvenience. The other problems are not major. However, if you pay £24,500 for...
CarPlay, and the Android and Waze navigation systems, are in every way, superior to the provided MG system. Which doesn’t even merit a mention in the MG manual.
There is a way to alter the settings for the info screen. From memory you can even set it to auto, so that it’s brighter in the day...
I dare say that quite a few of you are using Apple CarPlay. If you are one of them, you will probably be aware that the navigation screen is extremely bright, when driving at night.
I’ve tried to find a solution, but failed. It is possible to dim the large screen, but not when it’s displaying...
Yesterday evening I watched the MG EV Podcast, which centred mainly on the problems being discussed, by members of the MG ZS Hybrid+ forum.
I found the feedback from owners very interesting. The elephant ‘not’ in the room, however turned out to be, that there was no one there representing MG UK...
I found the feedback forum very interesting. The elephant ‘not’ in the room, was the fact that there was nobody there representing MG UK. Miles Robert’s did a fantastic job trying to defending them, given that the rest of the panel had quite a lot to say regarding the problems they had...
I’m waiting for mine to “go in”. It was last in on the 3rd when they confirmed water in the NS door mirror, and checking for updates. At that time they knew nothing about PD052, but with my help/ insistence they are speaking with MG UK. It’s next in on March 10th. I’m hoping by then they will...
