I also scratched the rear of my ZS Hybrid, no audible warning, and hit a railing.
This was in the dark. Makes me wonder if the sensors are not very good in dim conditions, even though there is light from rear lights, and reversing light. Must admit I do find the reversing light on the MG...
I'd never thought about it before, until reading this thread. But, if that is what happens, whereby constantly sensing, it really is very clever. It must be the the way it works, unless anyone can tell us any different.
Yes I agree with what you say (and I am only guessing), but all keyless entry vehicles would have a similar key battery drainage.
In most cases (in my personal experience) the battery only requires replacing every 3-4-5 years.
I have managed to get 62 mpg on some days.
You will hopefully notice more of a difference when the weather is a little warmer, and you use less electrical equipment.
I find the biggest use is the heater fan, this nearly always switches the engine on.
My ZS Hybrid was delivered in early December. Vehicle from Caffyns, Ashford, Kent. I live in Thanet, but in the 8 - 9 weeks, I have still not seen another one anywhere.
I was wondering if there are actually any others in Kent?
