Don’t looks as though a bi directional charger is about 3 grand (pounds)
Looks pretty attractive considering a powerwall is 7 ish
Do you need DNOapproval? I assume so
Yeah I have factored my current soh so I have a capacity of 55kwh roughly
It just seems consistently I have more power remaining than the car indicates.
I have an anal spreadsheet showing journeys and charging so I can claim mileage, and it’s interesting that the car will often use less power...
Do people find that their mg 5 has more power left than indicated at low charge?
For instance charging to 100 percent from 9 percent took between 44 and 48 kWh (depending on losses). 48 delivered by Ohme so lose 10 percent ish.
My battery takes about 55 kWh once degradation is accounted for...
If you aren’t sure look at the label on the battery look across from behind the passenger side front wheel.
It will give you a serial number which shows the capacity
It is more likely that the gom is underreporting
Hi
1. Yes sometimes, sometimes it’s slow sometimes normal
2. Mine is the same. The gom is a guess and as far as I can see once you get under 50% indicated it becomes pretty cautious. I tend to find I have 5+ kilowatt hours more in my battery than the gom indicates once I get down to 10 to...
Car warranties are pretty bad tbh
However the warranty will cover the really expensive stuff like motor and battery
The nice thing about the mg5 is that underneath it’s a pretty simple car, no crazy suspension or unusual gizmos so it’s not madly expensive to run.
If you look through the forum...
Even if you are charging if you are not in ready mode the car will not charge the 12V battery sufficiently to run the car's systems.
No power from DC charging is diverted to systems, the charge goes to the battery and the systems run from the battery.
Think of ready mode as HV battery is...
It does get charged as long as you are In Ready mode
If you are not in ready mode then the 12 V will not be charged and any accessory use will drain the 12V battery.
If you reset the gom it will always show maximum range - degradation as I believe it measures from the total voltage
It does not take temp into account day to day its not that sophisticated
my range at 7 degree yesterday at 57 percent was 118 miles and it’s the same today at -2
