I've found that I have to turn more in the seat than I used to in previous cars when I'm getting out so that I'm facing more towards the door opening before I step out. Then I miss the sill. It's become second nature now.

I've left mine for about 50 minutes and it still hasn't reset. I actually don't mind that on a long journey where I'm usually stopping to charge as I can then just use the since last charge reading if I want to while still knowing how far I am through the whole trip.
