Sorry I have a sense of humor 🤣
You would be surprised how many people tell me I "should" be able to put an alternator on my electric car to recharge the battery while driving so I never need to charge it.
I really like the 12V monitoring capability of a Victron 75/15 mppt, shows 30 days history with daily highest & lowest voltages.
I think it's good practice to change the 12V battery at the first sign of weakness, as others have stated, carry a lithium jump starter to get you out of trouble.
If...
Okay, my grid feed AC power varies depending on time of day, i see 219V at night and up to 252V during the day when everyone's solar is feeding the grid.
Agreed 700W @ 2kW does seem savage. I think it would be hard to challenge that point with the service centre unless the AC charging system...
I've observed a few different charge rates between 1.5-3.4kW at different SOC/temperature/etc. It seems to wander between 68-86% efficiency with 230-700W loss.
It's quite normal to have some efficiency/heat losses during an electrical charging process. Typically more power is consumed from the grid than what reaches your HV battery.
That would imply that it's charging at 80% efficiency at that given point in time.
I intend to do the same from a...
Yes, it's a CR2032 battery. Keep a spare the the glovebox also next to the 10mm spanner.
If you're unsure about pulling the key apart you can find a video on YouTube.
I think it's good to actually use the brakes regularly, keep the rotors shiny, I charge to 100% once or twice a week. Never paid attention to battery balance/SOH. I just charge it and drive it, I kinda don't want to know although do try to limit high SOC during summer. 99% of the time it's...
