    Tyre advice

When replacing tyres, consider the wet grip and fuel efficiency. Generally better fuel efficiency leads to worse wet grip. In independent testing the difference between the best and worst tyre for wet grip was 46m stopping difference. Each grade of wet stopping distance equates to 2 car lengths...

    The frunk!

The large gap between the bonnet and converter could be because the front of the car is designed to take and ICE engine. If it was designed as an EV, would the bonnet be lower? Would the equipment be arranged differently to allow a larger battery pack? Converting an ICE car leads to a...

    The frunk!

I might agree with you, if it wasn't for the fact that the ZS was designed as an ICE and has had an EV system retro-fitted. What changes have been made to the car to compensate for the EV system. Zero that I can see.

Interesting/worrying story from Scotland - ZS with no brakes.

Interesting, but why does your profile picture look nothing like the picture of you in the media? Just makes us all suspicious of the story. Maybe provide an update, how's the car driving now?

    Gridserve chargers

Why would you want to charge to 95%? The charge rate drops after 85%, so quicker to charge to just over 80%, then stop and charge again later. Really don't understand why anyone sits on the charger trying to get to 100%, takes far to long. My brother does this regularly in his ID5 and on a same...

MG ZS EV Door handles locks faulty or is there a knack?

Took mine to dealer last Friday as NSF door not opening about once a week. They have done an adjustment, but said if not fixed they would order a new lock. Now fails to open every other time it's tried. New lock on order.

MG ZS EV Door handles locks faulty or is there a knack?

Disappointed that my new ZS TLR has an intermittent issue with the NSF door. Booked in for next Friday, but expecting hassle as it is intermittent. Sometimes doesn't open even after switching off and unlocking, so have to walk round the car to open from the outside.

Headlamps have moisture absorbing bags within them...

Maybe they expect the heat from the halogen to dry them out.

    MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

We currently have a Leaf (till next Friday) Having a Type 2 is not an issue, it's what we have. The Leaf came with a Type 2 to Type 1 cable which we found a bit short, so bought a Type 2 to Type 1 adapter to go on the end of our 7m Type 2 lead.

    MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

Just had confirmation that my car is at the dealers (Howards Taunton) and I'm collecting next Friday. LR Trophy in blue. Still don't understand why I'm getting my car after 10 months wait when others seem to have been waiting over 12 months.

What % should I routinely charge a MG ZS EV LR to?

For the LR I would go further and say if your normal use is only 15%, charge to 60 or 70%. The higher you charge the quicker the battery capacity will degrade with the LR battery chemistry.

MG ZS EV One pedal driving

That's my point, this wouldn't happen in normal driving with the mod, as you would lift your foot off the pedal slowly, not take it right off as in the video. So minimal additional strain on the bearings. There isn't extra time using regen as there seems to be little differance between ACC with...
