    Max charge?

Thanks guys. Yer its a standard model, so 6kwh max then regardless of if you use your home charge or a beefy instavolt!

    Max charge?

Sorry for the question which I’m sure has been asked tonnes of times. But is a standard MG4 only capable of AC charging at a maximum rate of 6-7kW? My missus car charges at that rate at home, which is fine as it’s only a 7kW charger, but we had it on a 21kW unit out and about earlier this week...

Intelligent Octopus Go works like a dream.

Not sure if mentioned elsewhere, but as of 1st July my Octopus Go charging window has been extended by an hour - now 12:30-5:30

Intelligent Octopus Go works like a dream.

I would download the app here ‎Octopus Compare And monitor the rates for a week, so you have an idea. For example, it was 4-5p kwh overnight but wont go below 10p for the rest of the day. Tomorrow AM isnt available yet. You can always switch back to go after 1 month if you’re not making a...

Intelligent Octopus Go works like a dream.

I dare say it will benefit you. Using the compare app you have access to the upcoming agile rates 24 hours in advance, roughly. So when you see that 1-5p window coming, and you can be at home to charge - then it makes sense. Just be careful that Agile can have high rates for a period too...

Intelligent Octopus Go works like a dream.

Agile is currently cheap or paying back because of strong winds. I have the Octopus compare app and I’m just about saving money being on Go compared to Agile. The next cold snap will tilt the pendulum in favour of Go further. We, like most people, need to charge overnight due to work. We don't...

Desparate to join IO. Our charger (WaEV) is on the list to join, but Octopus are very slow. I think Zappi is only the 2nd compatible charge after Ohme Pro?

    What’s Your Average Monthly Mileage?

About 1500 miles a month and I wouldnt dream of having an EV just to toddle down to the shops. You have to do the mileage and charge at home if you are to realise a saving over an ICE, as well as swallowing the hassle you get with these cars. If you have an unlimited wallet or want an EV for...

Range decrease due to cold weather [merged thread]

Electric cars hate winter. It’s general knowledge.

How do you know when a new software update is available?

Apple car play needs an anker cable, then it works ok. I’ll try and dig out the one we bought for you tomorrow. It’s a very fussy car which seems to be a trade off due to the price.

Wind noise on the driver and passenger side when you get higher speeds?

Yes ours has it, common fault - badly steams up too. Hope you have better luck getting it booked into the MG garage than we have.

Does anyones HVAC via the app on MG4 still work? Mine always fails after update

Yer, good luck getting booked in round here. They send you to the MG garage who are fully booked for months on end. With these cars popping up everywhere now, there’s going to be a problem with how many need to go back.
