I have the same approx 86 mile journey (43 miles each way) every Sunday over the winter, even in low temperatures the car uses 19% there and 21% back (more or less, the trip is a mixture of A roads and motorway, where I keep a steady 65mph if possible). The car has been pretty stable reporting...
I reckon it was Trump wot did it, likely he used a spark from the loose battery connection to set off the dried leaves (and possibly some twigs) and used the cabin heater to fan the flames
Not wanting to teach my granny to suck eggs but do remember to re-boot the system, just in case. Re-boot by holding down home button for approx 30 secs (until screen goes blank). Probably won't help, but I have to do mine approx every couple of months when it starts to act up.

Most car air pumps should directly plug into the cigarette lighter? can you post a picture of your air pump plug if different? The car has a plastic plug in place, this should be pulled out?
Mine is not closing either after overnight charging. There is frozen water in the female part. I can wait for it to warm up a bit but hair drier would sort if you have to get going.
Just for clarity, unlike the HVAC pull down menu there is no apparant pull down for the new short cut menu, you just pull down in the blank space adjacent (left or right depending on country) to the HVAC menu.
