Yes had that on my new ZS. Dealer told me to be patient when starting and it's been ok since. Press brake and switch on, don't touch the selector until the screen shows READY.
Yep, alert volume will fix it. I turned mine down to quite the indicators, little did I know it also reduces the volume of the sat nav and all other alerts.
I get it too. Took it in to the dealer and told don't expect it to wake up quickly. Don't touch the RND selector until the car reports it's ready. Similarly, if the car doesn't show 'ready' but strange warnings then switch off, give it a couple of seconds then try again. It's teaching me the art...
If you're on an octopus intelligent tariff it acts similar, it could be waiting for the Octopus schedule. Sorry but I'm a VW ID3 looking on here as I'm considering the E4. Your symptom is similar to how my car behaves with Ohme and OI.
