Not sure if this is the correct thread to ask this question. Still hanging fire to order due to the number of problems reported In the hope they will all eventually get sorted. In previous cars my wife, when travelling with me, has always carried the spare key in her bag so that if I lose mine...
I thought they had issued an update not so long ago to decrease the severity of the LKA. Do we have evidence of this from people who have taken delivery of the more recent ones. Woud I be right in thinking that the folks here complaining maybe have not had that update or is it still lethal after...
Total BS. I was told by MG UK that all newly manufactured cars coming out from China will have the oil leak problem addressed.
Quote:
”MG's that are yet to be built at the factory in China will have the issue with the breather pipe rectified before they are placed on a ship.
Any vehicles that...
Totally agree. Cancelled mine back in November due to the numerous reported problems. Will give it until Summer or perhaps a little later to see if these problems will be sorted. Such a shame as I loved the car when I test drove it. One thing that constantly niggles me though is the incessant...
My original order was due to be delivered some time in February according to my dealer ( 16 weeks) . So am thinking will at least wait until the new reg before I order again. TBH I dont really mind how long I have to wait. Almost the longer the better so current the problems get fixed in China...
That’s why I cancelled my first order made in October. Will reorder again perhaps mid next year when, hopefully all these problems will be sorted. Still love the car! Trouble is the 4x4 version might be available by then and I could well be tempted?
MG UK have said that all new factory built cars will have the breather problem fixed.
Quote from email to me dated 3rd Nov.
Thank you for your further correspondence and I hope that you are keeping well.
Following thorough investigation by our Technical and Engineering team in both the UK and...
Have a look at the you tube video on this car. Undertray looks different. Guess it’s because it’s 4 wheel drive. Looks great. Might hang in a bit til that comes out now
I still stand by the fact that if new cars now coming from the factory have the breather then a car with anything less is sub standard and therefore you can refuse it. Be interesting to get a legal stand point on that.
I feel that as MGUK have said that new vehicles leaving the factory now will have the breather modification you have a right to have it fitted In retrospect. I will not be accepting my MG4 until it is done or has been done at the factory. I will also be expecting a flat undertray!!
I have said this before on this thread but I was categorically told in an email from MG UK that on models yet to be built at the factory the modified breather will be rectified before they are placed on the ship. ( see below) That was on on 3rd November. I guess thise cars haven’t started coming...
