    Trophy vs GT

Hi, Oops obvious "typo". The actual metric is 14.8 Kwh/100km. Which equates to 4.2 mi/Kwh.

    Trophy vs GT

Yes indeed the enemy of battery efficiency is temperature and speed. The average ambient temperature for my drives is about 30 degrees C. Its easy for the battery and HVAC (aircon) to manage. As for speed,,, averaging 70-80 km/hr on rural roads makes for some really good efficiency. My Tesla...

    Trophy vs GT

Hi, Oops correction on the efficiency in units. Its actually 14.8 Kwh per 100 km. (I somehow in my head had liters of course which is ICE related). This equates to about 4.2 miles per Kwh. I live rural with predominantly 2 lane country type roads. Hence the modest driving speeds on normal daily...

    Cruise control downhill

Hi, I experienced the same phenomena. I changed the regen to level 1 with some improvement (y) but, it did not totally eliminate the condition.

    Trophy vs GT

Hi, The difference in weight is less than 5% or about the weight of an average man. (depending where you live 😂) I doubt its material to street handling. The GT with its front motor puts weight distribution at an even 50/50 instead of the 51/49 rear bias for the Trophy. This might be the...

How to turn off cyberster ev safety feature for good

Apparently the safety ratings don't apply to Tesla. The settings can be selected in each user profiles and remain disabled when shut down and restarted.

    Pre-purchase questions

Hi, I understand the general concept surrounding the user experience of a manual ICE car operation vs EV. My comment specifically addressed the notion of weight as mentioned in your statement regarding "twice the mass to be shifted in corners". Many of the Cyberster reviews have confirmed the...

    Pre-purchase questions

The competition of the Cyberster is not the MX5. Cars that have an exemplary reputation for great handling are performance and GT oriented in nature could be the BMW performance cars. The M3 Competition purported to be one of the finest handling cars weighs 3890 lbs. The M5 weighs 5251 lbs. A...

    Track&Trace

To be fair when I ordered my Cyberster I was provided an estimate of mid-summer delivery. (About 7-8 months out). Being keen to have updates :) I inquired frequently of the progress. Unsurprisingly I received the same response. Silence. Or, "Best we know is mid-summer". No updates. So I just...

Wireless charging using the 12V/120W outlet in the trunk

What car is in this photo? I thought we were discussing charge points in the Cyberster?

Real world consumption in Cyberster (GT)

Hi, I've got 9,730 km thus far. (y) All good with zero issues. :) This encompasses all types of driving. Mostly 2 lane country roads so the speeds are quite ideal. Overall the summary is about 16.5 kWh/100km. Using conversion tables this equates to 6.06 km/kWh or 3.77 mi/kWh. On the motorways I...

Supersport or sport mode whats the actual technical and functional difference

Yes! I've also just recently experienced the same phenomenon! I was turning a corner with loose gravel and I also observed the graphic of the front wheels turning blue briefly indicating they were active. However, hard as a try I can't reproduce it myself again. 🤷 Instead of added power being...

Red interior or Grey - Are you happy with your choice?

I really like your idea. 👍 MG in choosing Alacantara as the seat cushion material is a risky decision. Mine at 8000km already showing signs of wear and the durability is suspect. I much prefer your concept. Good luck and keep us posted on the outcome.

Supersport or sport mode whats the actual technical and functional difference

My Cyberster when in "Comfort " mode remains single motor, rear wheel drive, regardless of the depth of "flooring it". In comfort mode its solely rear wheel drive. In Sport mode its always front and rear motor driven.
