Where? Euan, can you please post a photo of this please. I can't see a flat surface on the dashboard where a wireless charger would even fit. I asked my dealer, who said wireless charging isn't available even as an option on the Cyberster.
How is this 3.6 measured? The GT's WLTP range is only 276 miles, so 3.7 mi/kWh. To achieve a real-world consumption of 3.6 seems miraculous.
I ask because there is significant discrepancy between the various displays of mi/kWh and remaining range on the Cyberster. The only reliable way to...
Trophy model, not GT, but I'm getting 3.0 mi/kWh from the battery, with 12.5% charging losses from AC charging at home, so 2.6 mi/kWh of electricity paid for, equating to 8.95p per mile.
In the APP, click on the Battery section, and then in the SETTINGS (top right icon) you can set the target battery level. Or in the car, on the right-hand screen in the charging section,
I see Bjørn Nyland has done his regular 1000km test on the Cyberster GT, in -8°C conditions. He also has recent videos on acceleration and noise tests, charging curve, headlights, and driving at -8°C with the roof down and the heating OFF!!!
So I can get this to work, but only by putting the car in PARK first. When I put it in NEUTRAL, the power button on the centre console is greyed out and unavailable.
But this works:
Drivers door open, car in Park
Press and hold the footbrake
Press and hold the parking brake
Release the...
Yes. I like to park my car without the parking brake applied over the winter to avoid the brake pads freezing to the discs. All my previous EVs have allowed this, but with the Cyberster as soon as I open the door, the parking brake gets applied automatically.
On this topic, is there a way to leave the Cyberster parked without the parking brake applied and in neutral? I normally do that during winter storage to prevent the pads freezing to the discs, but I can't find a way to do that on the Cyberster.
Something that puzzles me. Why would MG choose an axis scale that goes from -20 to +80 miles per kWh? 80 miles per kWh would give a range of 6,000 miles!!
I've left my two previous EVs (Renault Megane, Fiat 500e) for a couple of months over winter without driving, no problem. I tend not to drive when the snow is deep!
The 12V battery will get a regular top-up from the main traction battery so shouldn't need any special attention as others have...
Thanks for the link. I bought a red 1ft cable from this link and Android Auto is now working perfectly, even with Bluetooth enable. The 1ft length makes it invisible in use.
Yes, this does work even on the drivers side. This is what I do:
Slide the seat forward a long way.
Recline the backrest backwards to the angle you want.
Then whilst still holding the recline button, slide the seat backwards to the position you want to suit your leg length.
A great way to get...
