As far as I'm aware Naviextras.com does not apply any updates for the MG3 Hybrid. I also thought it did and tried them but was warned off it so have to wait for MG Europe to advise. Although some people report having receiving over-the-air map updates changes to their maps without due...
In my MG3 trophy, I experienced a very noisy creaking from the rear every time I went over a speed hump, around me there are five high ones on the road into the estate, and crunch as the rear dropped matter how slowly I go. This happened throughout the winter months - now Spring and warmer...
Hi. I had exactly the same problem when I purchased my MG3 Hybrid. I took the car back to the dealer, and they replaced the two front wipers FOC. No problem since.
I have just returned from Hayling Island (Portsmouth) to my home after a few day's holiday. A journey 185 miles of Motorway, and Dual carriageways virtually all the way, some roadworks at 40 and 50mph but generally 60 -70mph, and still returned 65mpg. What not to like?
Our MG3 Hybrid will only cover around 4000-5000 miles a year. Some weeks it will only travel a couple of miles to the shops. It's never been a problem left standing unused, only in the winter, the brake pads occasionally 'stick' but this is to be expected and isn't an issue. I never had any...
The gear selector on mine sticks when I turn it to D and doesn't spring back to the centre as it used to do. However, it doesn't seem to affect the vehicle's function in any way from a driving point of view.
If I turn it to R that side does return to centre. Perhaps a drop of WD40 would sort...
The dealership is Spirit MG in Corby. I'm not sure it would be a viable solution as Corby is a long way from Cornwall if you'd need to take your car to them for service. I would have thought all dealers use the same MG pricing system?
My plan was taken up when I purchased the vehicle last September at the dealership. My car is an MG3 Hybrid Trophy. I think the costs for servicing are also published on MG's website?
Whoa! My plan for the five years and two MOT's is a total of £1619.49 circa 10,000m p.a. The 4th year service is £305.99 the 5th year is £256.16. Your prices seems overly expensive??
If you use the app remotely to warm the inside of the car on a frosty morning to 'defrost' the windscreen, where does the heat get generated?
As far as I know, you can't start the engine remotely, which is the main heat source for the car. I know you can heat the seats and the steering wheel...
I also have done a journey of 14 miles and the overall return was 67mpg. Who cares what mode it runs in, it's pennies in the pocket that count. Don't get all het up about it running in EV mode just enjoy the moments it does.
Hi Big Ears
I have no printed or digital documentation providing detailed work to be completed or checked for the next five-year services. Some members have attempted to track down a service manual, but as I see it, to no avail. Only the owner's manual is available, but it does not include a...
