16°C is T-shirt and shorts weather. In Newcastle anything above -5°C is tops off weather.

We had a high of 19 degrees here in Portugal yesterday, and hoping for similar today.
Off to find a big supermarket, and hopefully something vegetarian for my Christmas dinner tomorrow, otherwise it’s going to be a mushroom omelette.
Edited to add - I found some seitan and a selection of salad and vegetables. Tiramisu for pudding. Should be great!!

I thought about an omelette yesterday but only had two eggs left. I needed to put the bread machine on overnight. So the eggs went in with milk, spices and loads of sultanas. Nice loaf and fruity as a nut cake.

You need to come over here to Australia, lots of vegetarian cows over here
Christmas day, tomorrow, promises to be 39°C+ ..... so think of us while you sit down to a traditional hot roast dinner with all the trimmings .... we'll be suffering eating cold meats, prawns and salad .... thankfully Christmas only happens once a yr ..... now New Yrs Eve, that's another thing entirely, we are well set up for the party girls to let their hair down...Merry Christmas to all
