Rear lights condensing on MG4 SE

Took delivery of our MG4 Trophy last week and noticed water marks all the way across the rear spoiler and corners after the recent cold spell. Thought it was protective film causing the problem but on close inspection there doesn't seem to be any obvious covering.

Unable to add images from my phone as all the options on the posting page ask for a url so any advice on how to add much appreciated.

Anyone else experienced this? It is a lease car.

This has been reported regularly on the forum. It's just one of the MG4's features. The condensation goes away as the temperature rises. What will happen over a longer time period is unknown

And as also reported on the forum, it's not just the MG4 that suffers from this issue - it's most cars that use LED light assemblies ... simply put, they don't generate anywhere near enough heat internally to dissipate the condensation.

I think I have the same problem. I’m just not able to find the ventilation holes to avails when washing the car. Where are they?

Don't worry about it.
It's very common in all makes and models.
We are not alone.
It will disappear when it warms up.

Can we correct the title of this thread?

The lights themselves are not "condensing", the air in them is... better to title it: "Rear light condensation...".

If the lights are really condensing, I'd be quite alarmed!

They are hard to see but theres one visible in your photo

The taillights are fairly easy to remove and You can bring inside and allow for any moisture to escape and the unit fully dry up

Could it have something to do with your dehumidifier bags that you put in the car? Maybe there's a vent from the rear light bar into the cabin?

Those are not vents, they are just mould marks, they do not go through the plastic. The air access is at the rear.

Could be, also the rear lights are never in direct sunlight when parked on my drive, so there's no great heating and cooling cycle, they are always in the shade.

No, just whether the area you live is higher humidity than normal, as mine is.
