Adjust steering wheel

There's a lever underneath the steering column (like on most cars). Pull that down and you can adjust the rake (height) and reach of the wheel. When you have a comfortable position just push the lever back up. See page 59 of the Owner's manual:

And like every car I've owned in living memory, the steering wheel simply doesn't come down far enough for my liking.
I think I might be slightly unusual in preferring the wheel low and upright, so I can comfortably rest my elbows on the armrests.
I seem to see lots of people with the wheel set higher and their elbows flapping around in mid air.

I don't get how that can be at all comfy ?
 
I suspect that that may be a height thing, not unlike being able to see through the rear window with the middle rear head-rest in place. Both my husband and I are somewhat taller than average, and we can both drive with our elbows on the armrests, and see through the rear window just fine.

I totally agree, it sits far too high at its lowest for me. It also feels like it's made for people with longer arms and yet shorter legs. I'm loving the MG4 overall, and it's exceptional value, but there are definitely ergonomic, comfort and user interface/control issues. I'm spoilt from my Tesla Model 3 and Mazda MX-5; they're so much more comfortable and well suited for me.
 
I've not yet had the chance to sit in a model 3 but I have noticed an enticingly low and vertical looking steering wheel on cars that I've looked at while walking past.
Might be the only thing I would get on with though, Tesla's minimalist interiors don't float my boat :confused:
MX5 is lovely though ;)
