Has anyone else had odd warning messages come up without cause?

We picked up our Marvel R comfort yesterday and we are really pleased with the drive, however it seems like every time we drive direct into the sunlight (I know...rare at this time of the year!) the warning comes on that auto headlamps are faulty. The headlights aren't even on! Then, within seconds, a second warning comes up that the front camera is 'blocked' when we don't even have a camera system. We also had a warning that the ESP was not functioning, however this went away almost straightway and hasn't resurfaced.

When we picked up the car (a demonstrator with just 350km on the clock) they did a software update so I don't think it should be a software problem.

A bit disconcerting but most likely nothing to worry about, the direct sunlight has most likely " overloaded" the sensor for the auto lights and the camera ( behind the interior mirror ). Sometimes spurious warnings flash up and immediately disappear , ignore them until they stay on or regularly occur . They might show up the yellow triangle, this will/should disappear on re-boot . If not then involve the dealer.

My Marvel R Luxury throws up warnings for fun like this. Unless they stay on permanently just ignore them as it's just over sensitive software. Enjoy the car. We love ours. I thought all Marvels had cameras ?

Yes, the camera software sensitivity has been increased INTENTIONALLY. So that you do not rely on it especially in direct sunlight or at low temperatures, the same thing happened to me (3 times) at sub-zero temperatures (the street was frozen also).
Most accidents happens in those two situation.
Actually the Marvel R is more intelligent, high quality built car than many other cars.

I agree with that last statement regardless of some of the negative comments regarding the Marvel. It's over engineered and the quality and finish is superb in my opinion. I am glad as I am hoping it's my last and forever car 🙏

That's perfectly normal Marvel R behavior.

I can warn for everything under the sun and suddenly next time you drove it it's gone.

Had mine for nearly 3 years, this behavior with warnings are also very common on other MG electric cars.

I drive my MG Marvel in tough 0–-30⁰C weather. They throw warnings like free candys. Most annoying is when you are on highway and your view/ cameras warnings come on and you can't use MG pilot.
