Is my MG4 miles/kWh trying to gaslight me?

I have been doing some longer driving (motorway) and after a long run and charge the GOM is about right if you select Normal Driving rather than Eco as when doing the motorway driving ECO is a bit pointless. I did a run to Norfolk and the GOM lied a bit, on return and selecting Normal it followed actual, so drive in Normal and the GOM will not lie as much!!

How do you know it did not lie? What is your reference?

I always drive in Normal and find it accurate enough. I don't think Eco does much other than fiddle with heating/ventilation output.

Maybe someone with more knowledge could elaborate on what Eco actually does
Eco mode does nothing with hvac unless you connect it yourself to automatically activate wco in hvac. And to be honoust, the overshoot of hvac effect in eco mode is much less. And I defrost my windscreen with it as well.

Apparently it also changes the power delivery curve, so in eco the power comes on a bit more gentle, in sport it comes on quicker, but 100% press on the pedal always equals 100% power.

There is also the idea that psychologically you drive more economical seeing the car in eco mode. Sort of a placebo effect, but I guess that is hard to quantify or proof.

It isn't weird. You simply need more throttle to get the same acceleration. That is something you may experience and recognize. Allowing for a longer throttle range to increase speeds also creates less abrupt and unwanted speed increases.

I'm not sure what your are saying. Probably translation thing But pretty sure AC is influenced by Eco mode.
changes the power delivery curve
That true.

This is the graph @Kithmo posted to visualise it :)
