Did you know what "follow me home" is for?

Well, without watching the video, I understood it was to light your way to the front door so you could get in safely.

Which is great if you drive in forwards, unlike us ....

I have it switched on but find it’s a little bit hit and miss, a button on the key fob to turn on the lights remotely would be more useful I think. I’m sure we all have our ideas about a button of the key fob though.

I first saw the feature in 1986 on the new Rover 800. IIRC, in the brochure, the feature was described as 'follow me home', "to light your way safely to your door."

I'd use it if it was possible to configure the thing to just use side/rear lights or the reversing lights. I park on the drive with the front of the car facing the road, I don't want the headlights shooting across the road unnecessarily.

I have it set to stay on after closing but it won’t, I guess you have to use the stalk sequence, sort of counteracts the ease of just hopping out the car if you have to shut it down first through the infotainment.

Edit: turning the car off through infotainment and pulling the stalk works like described in the manual, so at least I could do that if I ever really needed a bit of light
