Reliability with gearbox/other issues?

Been looking for a new to me car and only do about 20 miles max a day...with maybe two 500 mile journeys, xmas holidays, per year, so the PHEV seems ideal. Twas thinking of the Marvel R....which I think is not available in the UK...this is 100% electric with a range of around 220 miles.....but it looks out of this world.....but think the PHEV will suit me better.

Anyhows, back to the practical issue of the this PHEV.....am I being just paranoid? I'll search this forum of course just thought I would throw a bottle in the sea.....

I have Attached a photo, this is the most up to date HS and I believe the gearbox problem has been sorted from what I hear. I had the older one one then there was facelift then this new one.
