I have had a test drive today and was surprised to see no passenger height adjustment on the ZS.

I enquired about this (Bulldog Twyford) and the sales lady checked on the latest petrol ZS still not on that either.

I find this a sad omission. Any comments welcome

The car is down to a price...there are bound to compromises somewhere.

I was parked next to £74 K Jaguar iPace yesterday.........I bet his passenger seat went up and down....electrically!

It's not just an MG thing, many manufacturers have the same setup, omitting the height adjustment on the passenger seat. As Chris mentioned some prestige brands may differ. I can't recall ever having a car with a height adjustable passenger seat (which also tells you I have never bought a prestige brand ;)).

This should be pointed out when looking at the car because the passenger seat is often not tested. It is part of every other car I have owned. I am disabled and this has proved a problem.

The latest ZS or MG4 doe not have electric adjustment of seats however my 21 HS Phev had electric adjustable seats. That said ZS was more comfortable than MG4 and Kona.

30k budget EV vs 74k Jag. Comparing Apples and Oranges that said as I mentioned 21 HS Phev had those

I wonder if it would be possible to retrofit a LHD ZS EV's drivers side seat in the passenger seating position on a RHD car.

This would make both seats electric atleast.

To be honest, when the seats are not memory seats (Not complaining they are not) i would actually rather they be manual.

Why....Because when my wife has been driving the car, it takes 5-10 seconds before i can even get into the car, because i have to stand outside and have the seat drive, very slowly backwards fully so i am able to fit in the car, with a manual seat its just pull to release and then push the seat back in a second

Offcourse they can not fit everything the more expensive cars have, but i can tell you, a car that has memory seats that run all the way back when you get out and adjust to your driving position (Together with the sideview mirrors) is such a nice thing to drive, if multiple people of different height drives the car.

I think you will find that the seats are slightly facing into the centre so fitting a right hand drive seat to the left will see it caring out toward the door.
Wow i did not know the seats were "crooked" :)

Well that's that idea out the window then :)

Has anyone out there tried this yet? If it does work, I'd certainly be interested in using a LHD driver's seat as the passenger seat. The lack of passenger seat adjustment in the ZS is a significant weakness, says a 6'2'' and his 5'1'' wife

Is the wiring there though ?

He didn't say a RHD seat, he said a LHD seat.
If it is LHD, the electrics seat is on the left so you use that seat to put in the left hand side of a RHD car!!!

Same issue. I would rather have both seats manual (with height adjustment) than electric without memory.

To be honest, with the speed of the electric seats i would also much rather have manual.

My Tesla with memory seats pushes the seat all the way back when parking and the moves into position when putting it in D.

On the MG, which my wife who is 8 inches shorter than me drives 90% of the time it feels like it takes forever when standing outside in the rain, holding the seat back button, waiting for it to go all the way back. I can not physically fit my 6ft2 body in the seat without it being all the way back.

With a manual it would take a second to pull the handle and push back.

Why are you standing outside, do you have really thick hands ?

The reason Tesla comes with this feature and MG not could be the difference in average trouser size between a typical Chinese and American ... 😂
