The problem with doing that is People think they can get away with this sort of thing .If it was me I would have confronted the Driver and asked for insurance details or at least £200 cashThe culprit was a carer, visiting a neighbour. I didn't have the heart to make a big issue of it, looking at her car suggested that she probably couldn't afford to pay for the repair, and putting it through insurance would only result in mine going up next year, probably by more than the cost of a smart repair to rectify things. Based on what information I get back from the dealership I may attempt a repair myself, who knows this could be a learning opportunity![]()
That's the difference between the old solvent based paints and the new water based ones which are more environmentally friendly. The trouble is they can take up to three months to get fully hard so they chip easier when the car is new.Is it just me or is the paint quality pretty poor in the first place? I have a 20 year old mini with less paint chips than my 12m old mg!
