If I park forward into my spot at home it’s stuck the next time I drive away. If I back into my spot, it works the next time.
Tried this more than a dozen times each way and it’s always like this

Something in its line of sight must trigger a bug when you park going fwd, or if you have to reverse out at first start.

Can you try parking forward with space and then when you leave the spot move forward first before reversing out?

My Trophy MY22 (3 phase charge, deleted driver camera) has always suffered from inconsistent speed recognition, sometimes whole journeys are made without a single sign being recognised. It does however always work when the infotainment system resets, which is as far as I can work out is random when you power up the car. Having said that if the journey is broken, i.e. the car stopped and locked up then quite often it doesn't recognise any more signs.

Some of the interesting signs it does pick up when working, like a 70 in a 30 limit, or national speed limit in a 30 would never be able to used as any defence against a speed offence, anyway there is a getout clause about its accuracy of detection.

Typical politician nonsense. "We're going to force you to have all sorts of stuff in your life but if anything goes wrong with it, it's still your fault."

Does any one else have it when you boot up the car the speed sign detection is just randomly off?

Yep, the speed sign detection is randomly off or on in my car when it starts up - it's always off when I park it

I like to have it on just in case I miss a change in the speed limit but its annoying that sometimes it turns its self off when I get in the car.

Also mine never beeps when I go over the limit it just flashes is that how it works on the MG4?

I would not trust the speed sign detection as it oftens shows the side road speed instead of the road you are on.

And yes it will only flash to indicate you are exceeding the detected speed sign.

Yep, mine randomly switches off and you have to toggle it back on.

Mine always switches on when I start the car. I turn it off every time. It's completely useless.

any update on how this problem is/was solved?
